How do photovoltaic modules work?
Photovoltaic modules consist of photovoltaic cells, which convert solar energy into electricity. This takes place when a minimal unit of light, a photon, falls on a silicon plate, the building material of the cells. It is then absorbed by the silicon, which forces a movement on the electron, i.e. an electric current flows. A p-n type semiconductor junction is used, which makes it possible to directly connect this process to the circulation of electrons within the power grid and thus transform solar energy into electricity.
